How To Use Canva In Your Library & Classroom

July 1, 2018

In May, I got the chance to teach librarians about Canva on Skype. I was so grateful for the opportunity and I poured my heart and soul into my presentation! If you would have told me two years ago that I would have been presenting in front of people I would have laughed. The biggest achievements come from facing your fears.

I realized the other day that all the fun ideas and helpful tips I put together have been wasting away in a folder. This is information I want to share!

Over the next couple weeks, I will be sharing a series of four posts all about how to use Canva in meaningful ways. Buckle up and get ready to be inspired to use Canva in your library and classroom!

Let's start with the basics...

Canva is basically my bestie! I use it every single day to create all of my content. I use the paid account, but even the free account has great benefits. Did you know that the free account has access to over 8,000 templates? Or that you can have 10 team members for free?

Canva is also very user friendly. I love how you can create an image very easily and use a pre-designed template or let your own creativity flow and create a custom design.

The drag and drop functionality in Canva enables teachers and students to create presentations, posters, one-page documents, social media posts, and so much more. Students can also create designs to be shared with the entire class!

Also...because who doesn't love easy...Canva offers integration with Google Apps meaning teachers can onboard classes quickly and efficiently, without having to worry about maintaining additional logins and passwords.

All my best,
